Travel information

0) By plane to Bucharest : The international airport closest to Constanta is Henri Coanda Otopeni International Airport, in Bucharest. It offers daily connections with every major city of Europe (http://www.otp-airport.ro/www/index.html?&setLanguage=EN).

1) From airport to "Gara de Nord" railway station or "Parcalabul Baldovin" bus station (http://www.ratb.ro/). There are two ways to reach those from the airport:
a) Firstly by bus EXPRES 783 (the station is in front of the arrivals terminal) till Piata Victoriei station. Then by tube from Piata Victoriei to Bucuresti Nord railway station (Gara de Nord, first stop).
b) By cabs, Fly Taxi, the official airport taxi carrier. The duration is between 30 and 50 minutes (depending on traffic).

2a) By train from Bucharest to Constanta
Train schedules can be checked, e.g. from the Romanian Railway Company C.F.R (http://www.infofer.ro/default_engleza.asp?lng=2 : Please fill in From: Bucuresti, To: Constanta and press Find. Then select From: Bucuresti Nord and press Search).

2b) By bus from Bucharest to Constanta
(http://www.autogari.ro/Transport/Bucuresti-Constanta/643-207.aspx?lang=UK ) At every 45 minutes, starting with 05:30 am, a bus start from Bucharest (Parcalabul Baldovin bus station, near Gara de Nord railway station: http://www.bucharest-map.com/bucharest-map.php?id=1371&filter=Baldovin%20Parcalabul) to Constanta.

3) Transportation in Constanta:

3a) From the railway/bus station you can take bus #100 to "Sat Vacanta - Mamaia" having as main stations (http://www.constanta-news.com/wp-content/uploads/harta-trasee-transport-comun-constanta.jpg): Gara CFR - B-dul Ferdinand - B-dul Alexandru Lapusneanu - Sat Vacanta - B-dul Alexandru Lapusneanu - B-dul Ferdinand - Gara CFR. The venue of ICVL is the Ovidius University (new campus) located closed to 202A Lapusneanu Boulevard (http://www.besttourism.ro/harti/upload/Litoral-Constanta.jpg).

3b) By cabs with the destination "The new campus of Ovidius University of Constanta", Lapusneanu Boulevard.

    Publius Ovidius Naso: Ovid's statue in Constanţa/Tomis, the city where he died - Publius Ovidius Naso (March 20, 43 BC – 17 AD) was a Roman poet known to the English-speaking world as Ovid who wrote on many topics, including love (he is the medieval magister amoris, "master of love"), abandoned women, and mythological transformations.

    CONSTANTA is available by plain, train, bus from Bucharest or other cities. MAMAIA is very closed to Constanta and there is a bus from railway station to the
    entrance in Mamaia, or you can use a taxi.

    DOBROGEA
    This area is situated between the Danube and the Black Sea, engulfing two extremely important zones of Romanian tourism: The Danube Delta (in the North-West of the region) and the Romanian beach (on the East of Dobrogea)[www.triptainment.ro/en/]
