Alphabetical list of authors subscribed with presentation papers



Create a title page for your submission. The title page should include:

  1. name(s) of the author(s) (last name, first name) (for each author)
  2. e-Mail address (unique)
  3. title
  4. department(s) and affiliation(s), country (for each author)
  5. title of the submission
  6. topic area/sections of the submission (choose from above list)
  7. paper abstract (250 words max.)

Submit your abstract using the Conference online submission system or email it, along with a title page, to icvl[at] There is a limit of two contributed submissions per author. The abstract for proposed research should include the research objectives, proposed methodology, and a discussion of expected outcomes.

Please note that all abstracts for review must be received electronically by June 20.

Submissions will only be published in the conference proceedings if at least one of the authors registers and attends the conference. More information will be provided upon acceptance.

Please note that by submitting an abstract or a complete paper you are certifying that the work is original, is not being considered for publication elsewhere, has not been accepted for publication or previously published, and is not copyrighted !

PAPER LENGTH (Guidelines for formatting your paper)

All papers for the Proceedings should not exceed 8 pages in length, single-spaced.


  • All papers must be typed in Microsoft Word using Times New Roman and a 11-point font.
  • All papers must be typed, single-spaced, on regular A4 paper (21 x 29.7 cm), and fully justified.
  • Margins should be set to 4.4 cm top and bottom, 3.7 cm left and right.
  • No headers, footers, or endnotes.
  • Use italics in place of underlines.
  • The first paragraph after a heading should not be indented. In the second and following paragraphs the first line should be indented 0.5 cm and do not skip lines between paragraphs.
  • All major headings should be bold, capitalized, set to 12-point font, and with one space around headings.
  • All sub-headings should be bold, left justified with an initial capital for each word (Title case), set to 11-point font.
  • Check grammar and spelling of the manuscript.

Paper presentation at ICVL

Papers authors are asked to prepare the work presentation in PowerPoint/WEB, or Word/PDF. For each work they'll have 15-20 minutes.

In the Conference room the authors will have a computer connected to Internet and a video projector.


You will need to prepare some PowerPoint slides to support your presentation.
The presentation will be around 20 minutes, with 5 minutes allowed for discussion. Think in terms of the following slides:

  • A title slide – Name, Title and what the paper is about
  • One slide with the hypothesis you want to investigate
  • 2 or 3 slides covering your current research plan
  • You should not require any more than an absolute maximum of 10 slides – this would mean talking to each slide for only two minutes
  • It is generally distracting to the audience to have too many slides in a short presentation

We recommend that you also bring with you a copy of the presentation on a data stick or other portable memory device.

Papers conceiving and writing

  • THE PAPERS CONCEIVED AND WRITTEN after CNIV's standards will be accepted and published in CNIV's Volume and on the CD only if they obey the criteria of an academic paper: research / study / analysis / software product witch will treat a subject that represents an original / comparative investigation or an implemetation of a technique / method to obtain results or conclusions.
  • Papers submitted to CNIV must not be published in a ISBN or ISSN publication
  • If the authors are pupils it's imperative that they have a guiding teacher or professor.
  • The paper will be written in Romanian or English Language.
  • The paper will be presented in Romanian language (in a Power Point format, WEB, or Word / PDF)
  • The paticipation fee will be the cost of the CNIV Volume and will be paid at the CNIV opening (it's estimated that the price will be around 10-15 Euro)
  • The list of the participatns without a paper will be published if they send an e-mail at cniv[at] with the following content: First Name and Last Name, Function, Institution.

Recommendations and usefully informations

  • ATTENTION! Do NOT send applications and software products, these will be needed only at the EXHIBITION or at the demonstrative presentation.
  • The software products will be presented as a paper at CNIV and they will be registered at the "EDUCATIONAL SOFTWARE" EXHIBITION, for the evaluation in "EDUCATIONAL SOFTWARE" CONTEST
